6:30 PM - Sleigh ride and dinner with Debbie at Park City (my 81st Birthday Party)
I was up at 7 am, had prayer, and checked my text and email messages. Paul Ellison, Attorney in Bremen, emailed me a copy of the deed for 1.6 acres next to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church to build a family center. In return, they assume responsibility for maintaining the graves of William Alexander and Manah M. McAlpin and Old Indian Cemetery at N33 48 24.5029 W85 21 17.5924. Curt Lathon, a deacon, at the church did not get back to me today if Monique at the Haralson County Tax Assessor's office got a copy of the recorded deed. Debbie went to Laura's and took Libby to lunch. Libby had been at a job interview in Lehi. Debbie got her hair fixed and bought a couple pairs of shoes to try and find some that don't hurt her feet. She can take them back in a week if they hurt her feet. Roy Bryant called from Oxford, Alabama, today, and I called and checked on Mike Coultas in Michigan. He is an old friend of mine from Georgia. Elder Matteson from North Pole, Alaska, and Elder Roberson from Portland, Oregon, came by and visited this afternoon. When Debbie got home we drove up to Park City Resort for a sleigh ride and dinner at the Snowed Inn Lodge. There were five sleighs being pulled with 2 large horses in the snow up the hill to the lodge. Each sleigh had about 9 people on each they carried. The company provided lap covers. Debbie and I had a sheep lap cover. Our driver was Wade from Oakley, UT a little ways above Heber. The lodge had two large fireplaces with roaring fires and served us hot apple cider, with live music. For dinner, Debbie and I had soup, I also had a bowl of chili, prime rib, mashed potatoes, and salad. For dessert, we were served lava chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. It was a very nice early 81st birthday dinner. We got home about 10 pm, had prayer, and went to bed.
