Prioritized Daily

Debbie and I had prayer together; Jody was up early this morning and finished washing and drying clothes for her daughter Shelby.  I was able to get April Baldridge, commercial loan officer, with Synovus Bank.  She was at the branch in Calhoun, Georgia today.  She is sending me a list of things she will need to do for the loan.  I sent an email to Sudip, Nirdos Kadel, requesting a daily itinerary from April 11 to the time I depart Katmandu, Nepal, the address of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and what I need to pack and bring for the trek to Base Camp at Mt. Everest.  I went to the Legacy Center and did some stairsteps, weight training, and track for about 2 hours.  On the way home I filled the Subaru with gas.  I worked on the loan documents April with the Synovus Bank requested.  Debbie went with Jody, Shelby, and Libby.  They ate dinner before coming home.  I emailed, texted and talked to Matthew about Synovus Bank.  Debbie, Joey, and Libby took the rest of Shelby's wash towels and clothes back to her in Provo.  I exercised some on the vibrating platform machine and did some setups.  I order a Camelbak, packs of hydration power, and water purification tablets for my trip to the Himalayas in April.  When Debbie and Jody got home, Debbie and I had prayer and got to bed at 12:30 am.

Note: To all young future missionaries: I will compare your mission to a 400-meter track meet.  You want to run as fast as you can.  To do this you need to get up to your full speed as fast as you can.                                     A bishop asks a young priest if he leaked track.  He said he has been running the 400 meters at school.   The bishop asked what if his coach added another 10 meters to his distance making it 410 meters for him and only 400 meters for the other boys.  The young man told his bishop that if he spotted the other runner 10 meters he would not have a chance of winning.  The bishop said, instead of adding it to the end, what if we added it at the beginning of the race and the clock did not start for you or the other runners until the instant you reached the starting point.  The young man said that would be incredible.  I would start the race at full speed and not have to begin from a dead start.                                                                                                  The bishop told him he was comparing his track meet to his mission.  Start running (preparing for your mission) now so you will be at full speed when you enter the mission field.  You hit the ground running.  Just a few suggestions.

D&C 11:21 The Lord said, "Seek not to declare my word, but first seek to obtain my word, and then shall your tongue be loosed; then, if you desire, you shall have my Spirit and my word, yea, the power of God unto the convincing of men."  (Get up early, pray, study the scriptures, and serve your family and others as you do you will feel a love for them stronger than you ever felt before.

Other than Jesus Christ, John the Baptist is the only prophet I can think of who when he went to teach and preach did not have to get up to speed.  Why?  John the Baptist was ordained when he was 12 days old and he spent his life preparing for his mission, so when he began, he hit the ground running.  Christ said, "For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: ........" Luke 7:28
