Kaytlin O’Neall and Drew Brown are a happy young couple from Texas. The 21-year-olds are engaged and have plans to marry soon. But there’s something about this young pair that makes them different.

They have set strict boundaries concerning intimacy and are committed to honoring their purity.

“Right before I started dating Kaytlin, we talked about physical boundaries, and she mentioned how she wanted to wait to kiss until the wedding day,” said Brown, a business finance student at Texas A&M University in College Station.

“I asked her dad for permission to date and had a man-to-man conversation with him about dating her in purity and pursuing her heart selflessly. It was one of my favorite conversations with him.”

O’Neall, who runs her own photography business, Kaytlin V Photography, said that after asking God to guide her regarding physical boundaries, she “felt called” to save her first kiss for marriage. It didn’t take long for Brown to agree to the idea.

“Don’t follow the crowd,” he said. “Your character is vitally important and part of who you are ... so don’t compromise it for anything.”

The first time I heard this taught was by Elder LeGrand Richards.  He taught when you kiss a young lady that you may not marry is like licking the jam off someone else's bread.  I did not want some boy licking the jam off my bread and I made a promise I would not kiss any young lady until we were at the altar of the temple.  Your Grandma Debbie and I followed this for the 4 years we dated.

The ritual of marriage in Judaism is considered without end; there is no statement, "Until death do you part." The canopy or Huppah is reflective of the ancient temple. In some cases, the Huppah is a Tallith, the garment that reminds a Jew of the covenants and commandments he and she have bound to themselves. Another Tallit is placed over the heads of the bride and groom and their first intimacy is the kiss under the Tallit.

Debbie and I slept in this morning, we had prayer together before starting the day.  Matthew and Bella did not go with Bobby Daniels, and his daughter, Emma, when they left early from the cabin and took Madeline to Provo Airport with them to catch their flight back to San Diago.  I told Autumn last week she could talk to me anytime.  She texted me this morning and asked about talking.  She called me a little later and we had a good talk.  There is no need or reason to go into our conservation.  She knows she is loved by our family and no one will exclude her.  She has been through a lot in her life and she has been and will continue to be in our prayers.  Later April from Synovius Bank and filled out some of the forms for the nursing home loans in Georgia.  Andy sent me some of the information I needed on Gateway and Floyd/Chulio Hills Nursing Homes.  he is going in tomorrow to have 34 stable taken out of his back from the shoulder blade surgery.   I told April that Andy will help her with the nursing home financials.  Later I took a nap and when I got up, fixed lunch by heating up the soup and onion frybread Debbie made yesterday.  Pay is in the doctor's office and Debbie has an appointment to see her doctor about her heart at 2 pm tomorrow.  We had an appointment to do an endowment session at the Mount Timpanogos Temple today at 5 pm.  I called the temple and canceled.  I went back to bed.  My head and chest have a lot of congestion.  At 4:30 pm Raul came with his son, Joaquin, and replaced the garage disposal in the kitchen sink.  Debbie paid them $595 with a check for the parts and labor.  We had leftovers for dinner and watched part of a movie on TV before having prayer and going to bed.
