8 am - Zoom with Mirko, Ljubica, and Bojana Jelicic in Serbia

10:30 am - Tylee and Porter speak in Sacrament before Tylee leaves

I still have this cold and did not sleep well last night.  Debbie got up at 6:30 am and started cooking and cutting up fruit.  I got up at 7:30 am, and we had prayer.  We had planned to Zoom with the Jelicics at 8 am in Utah and 4 pm in Serbia.  I told Debbie one of the things I have been considering talking to Mirko and his family about having Mirko talked to some of the people he knows who may be interested in investing in nursing homes in Georgia.  Debbie did not think it would be a good idea to become involved because the money would not be legal.  I told her I had been praying about it and have not received an answer.  Then, this morning we could not get Zoom to work.  I also tried WhatsApp, and there was no response.  I remember Mirko telling me about his father, who served in World War II with Josip Broz Tito, former President of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.  After the war, he was asked to join with Tito in running the country, and his father declined.  He did not want to get involved with them.  He was well respected, and people who knew him looked at him as a man with integrity.  Then this morning for the first time, we were not able to get Zoom/Skype to work to see and talk to them, I said, "I hear you Heavenly Father" and dropped the idea of suggesting any dealing with the people in Serbia with any money who may invest in nursing homes in the USA.   Debbie cooked breakfast for Stephanie and the boys; when they finished I ate eggs, bacon, and toast that was left over.  I loaded the Tesla with fruit and fruit platters and followed Stephanie to Jared and Jami's family ward.  Their stake president was here today and sat on the stand beside the bishop.  After the sacrament was administered and passed, Porter spoke, followed by Tylee, the young women about 34 of them sang a special musical and a brother who moved in with his wife a year ago was the concluding speaker I thought, but the Stake President commented on the talks about the necessary of contraries in life.  We went over to Jared and Jamie's after sacrament.  Debbie and I took the fruit and fruit platters and I got Carter and Mckay to help me unload the Tesla.  The house was full of people.  I stayed until Jared thanked everyone for coming and blessed the food.  I asked Jami, Jody, and Stephanie to see that Debbie has a ride home.  I wore a mask at church and at the house where everyone was.  I am still coughing and my nose is running.  People were still coming when I left.  When I got home I went to bed and slept until Stephanie and the boys brought Debbie home.  I ate some food before taking the last Azithromycin pill.  Stephanie and the boys packed the van and when they left Debbie drove over to Laura's where the rest of the family had gone after leaving Jared and Jami's.  Tylee is being set apart by the stake president tonight and start Home Mission Training tomorrow.  I studied some of D&C 18, Come Follow Me with Jared Halverson podcast, and wrote short messages in the front of Quotes and Thoughts taken from my 2024 daily journal.  I will try and get them mailed tomorrow.  Debbie got home from Laura.  I had the kitchen cleaned and the dishwasher turned on.  I called all the children; I only got Michael and Beth.  Michael is in California in the house they bought for Laura, Autumn's mother, before she moved.  Gavin is still waiting to her about his acceptance in colleges for their master's and PhD programs.  Alex and Carter are getting ready to move to Boston.  Blake is in college in N.Y. and Autumn, Gavin, and Gracie are in the home in San Clemente.  Beth was taking Jeff Nelson to the airport.  Jeff is sending me some vitamins he takes for a cold.  Rae Lynn and Matthew did not answer.  Later Debbie and I had prayer together before going to bed.
