Prioritized Daily

5th day with diarrhea (+) even though I am taking Imodium and Azithromycin 500 Mg Tablets                                                                        Most of the night it poured down rain                                                            I was up 8, 10, or more times during the night, going to the bathroom.  I am out of clean underwear.  I had not planned for this opportunity.  I have my own bathroom and commode, and still could not get to the bathroom fast enough.  It poured down rain most of the night.  I skipped breakfast and called and talked to Debbie.  I had to go to the bathroom 4 more times before we left Rivendell Lodge, a teahouse-style lodge.  It is located in the Sagarmatha National Park.  I told Supid I have no more clean underwear or pants with me.  He called a Helicopter company and arranged for a flight out of Debuche.  On the 30-minute walk down to the helicopter pickup, diarrhea struck twice, and my pants are a mess.  We arrived at the helicopter pad at 8:00 am.  Sudip checked my blood oxygen and pulse rate.  My blood rate was 67 and my heart beat per minute was 250.  I felt tired and exhausted and laid down on the helicopter pad to rest.  I have Emergency Assistance Insurance.  I called and got their artificial intelligence answering machine. I was finally able to talk to a person, in fact two.  I got the same response from both.  I was told if it is an emergency to call 911.  If you are admitted to the hospital, they will help arrange transportation to get you to a hospital near your home in the USA.  I tried to call Humana but could not get anyone.  I am not sure they will pay for any emergency, if so it would be very rare.  Sudip, my guide, was more effective in getting help than was Emergency Assistance.  This is where I need to make it clear, I STOPPED HIKING.  I HAVE ABOUT TWO MORE DAYS OF HIKING LEFT BEFORE I REACH EVEREST BASE CAMP.   The helicopter picked Sudip and me up at 2 pm.  I tipped Raj $250, and thanked him. It took the pilot of the helicopter about 6 minutes to get us up to Everest Base Camp.  His name was Arnau.  He gave us a few minutes to walk around and take pictures.  I met Lakta, who is a rescuer with HRA, Himalayan Rescue Association.  I took pictures of EBC, the mountains, and glaciers.  Arnau, the helicopter pilot, took us down to Lukla where Sudip had us a room near the entrance to the airport terminal.  I had broth and toast for dinner.  The wifi connection was weak and it was very difficult talking to Debbie.  I had prayer before going. to bed.
