Incheon/Seoul, Korea
We landed in Incheon at 4:45 am. It was early in the morning of Tuesday, April 22, and all the airport was not open, and the workers did not understand that I wanted to get to the Terminal or Transfer Hotel. They kept trying to direct me out of the airport to a shuttle to a hotel. I was finally able to get to the concourse and found the Terminal Hotel, but I had not made a reservation, and there were no rooms available. The clerk told me he would have a room opening at 9 am. I booked it for 9 hours. I went to a waiting area for people like me who have layovers, where there are lounge chairs where you can lie down. There were two areas, and all the beds were taken except for one I saw. I had a small cart I found to put my computer bag in, and I put it next to the lounge chair and slept from 6 am to 9 am. I went back to the Terminal Hotel and checked into my room. I called and talked to Debbie, and we had prayer together. I took a shower and went to bed. I awoke at 3:30 pm and went to lunch. My flight out of Incheon was delayed. When I got to Seattle, I had to get my bag and go through customs and security. I checked my bag to SLC and got a boarding pass. When I got to the airport in Salt Lake, Debbie and Jared were waiting on me with a welcome home sign. Jared acted as my porter and carried my duffle bag to the car. We stopped at Arby's on the way home and I had a 1/2 pounder roast beef sandwich with curly fries, horseradish, and fry sauce. Matthew and Michael called. Beth and Rae Lynn sent text messages. Debbie and I had prayer together and got to bed at about midnight.
