Prioritized Daily Task
9:00 - Meet with a member of the Lehi Utah Gateway Stake Presidency (Stake President Benjamin Packard, President Trey Orsak, counselor, and President Brandon Hobb, counselor)
10:30 - Lehi 7th Ward Sacrament meeting
I got up a little before 7 am, had prayer, showered, and shaved. When Debbie got up, we had prayer together, and she got ready for church. I went to the Lehi Utah Gateway Stake Center building at 8:15 am and met with President Hobbs, a counselor in the stake presidency. We had a good visit. He wanted to know if I would be willing to speak at stake conference? There is no guarantee I will be asked to speak or if there will be time. He just wanted to know if I would be willing. When I got home, Debbie and I ate a light breakfast before going to church at 10:30 am. We attended Sacrament and Sunday School. Debbie is bruised and sore from helping Jody in Twin Falls this past week. I rubbed her back and feet and let her sleep. We studied scriptures and had a light dinner. Later, Rae Lynn called and invited me down to Clovis, CA, next Sunday. Ethan is receiving the Mlzekediath Priesthood and being ordained an Elder. Matthew is flying into Provo next Saturday and staying with us in Lehi for the week. I arranged a flight to Fresno. I will pick Matthew up in Provo on Saturday at noon, and he will take me to the SLC airport in the afternoon. Debbie and I had prayer before going to bed at about 10 pm.
Note: Our Sunday School lesson today finished with D&C 88. A 27-year-old farm boy in 1832 could not have written this document without the help of a supreme being. The first 116 verses are on the cosmic, and the next 25 verses are on the practical. In Section 88, Joseph Smith moved into realms where only God could know, relating to light, truth, intelligence, life, and the law by which all things are governed, being synonymous with the power of God.
