Prioritized Daily Task

Note: Elder Neal A. Maxwell told the story of when he was a young man.  He did not like the way the bishop was doing things in the ward.  He did not think his bishop was moving fast enough on callings to members of the ward.  The bishop had the stewardship of the ward and not he.  It was not his place to be in charge of callings.  Later he remembered to story of Uzzah (2 Samuel 6: 6-9), thinking he could help by steadying the Ark of God when the oxen stumbled.  When Uzzah did so, he was struck dead.  When we think we can help the Lord by correcting our bishops or apostles, or prophets, we may not be struck dead physically, but just as surely, we can be struck dead spiritually.  Later, when Neal Maxwell talked to his bishop, he told Neal I knew you had just got home from the war, and I wanted you to spend as much time as possible with your wife and family.  The bishop knew his family needed him.

I was up early, had prayer, and studied scriptures.  Jody, Shelby, and Brad go in late from taking wedding pictures in Nevada.  Debbie was up late.  When she got up, we had prayer together.  Later, she went to help Jody clean Shelyb's apartment she is moving from.  She and Bradley are getting married on the 20th, in two weeks.  I went to the Legacy Center to exercise and walk.  I listened to the first part of John Adams on audiobook while I walked.  I came home and did some more exercising and spent time on the vibrating machine.  Watched a movie and studied scriptures before having prayer with Debbie and going to bed at about 7:30 pm.  Debbie washed bed linen, and later we made up 3 beds where the family slept.  They will be back in about for Shelby and Bradley's wedding.  Debbie and I had prayer together, and I went to bed early.
