Debbie's family reunion at Moab ends
Last night, I slept in Maggie's room and prayed when I got up at 7:30 a.m. We got dressed and ready for church at 9 a.m. I moved the rental car back to the street in front of Beth's apartment. We attended the Visa Hermosa Ward. Last week was their stake conference, so today was fast and testimony meeting. Beth taught Relief Society, and I attended Priesthood. Our lesson was on the conference talk, "True to the Faith that our Parents have Cherished." I volunteered to provide security at the Newport Beach Temple from 3 to 5 pm today so Ryan Sandberg, the Elder's Quorum President, would not have to do it again. Tucker drove his Jeep to church. Andrew was with us, and Beth took him home before we went to Gisele Galvasinis, Kevin and Jackie's daughter, who is going on a mission to The Alpine German-Speaking Mission group is a community for missionaries serving in Switzerland and Germany. Beth is friends with many of those here. Kevin has taken a real interest in and helped Tucker. He owns and operates nursing homes and is also a friend of Michael. Enzo, Blake's friend, was there. Beth saw Stacy and Chris Circuit, who have been friends since their days in college at BYU. We came home and Beth made lunch for us and Andrew and Tucker before he left with a friend, Ryan, to get things they will need for their planned power washing project this summer. I packed my rental car and drove to the Newport Beach Temple to serve as security for a couple of hours today. Families and individuals were taking pictures and walking around the gardens. I checked all the doors on the outside and they were locked. There was one gentleman I talked to, and he asked me if I was security. He came at one, and his shift is up at 3 pm. There are 2 more shifts he said, this one 3 to 5 pm, and the last one is 5 to 7 pm and the gate is locked. He took a picture of a family, grandparents, parents, and children and as he was about to leave. A family named Coles came us to us and the father introduced himself as the security for the temple from 3 pm to 5 pm. They are from the Vista Hermosa Ward and are friends of Beth and Michael. I left before 3:30 pm and drove up to Clovis, about 4 and a half hours. I called and talked to Elain, Robyn, Lori Lynn, and Rae Lynn. She is not going home until tomorrow. She is chaperoning Ethan and his classmates in Newport Beach for their senior class trip. I stopped in a rest area for a bathroom break before getting to Clovis, CA. I visited with Britt, Luke, Owen, Brody, and Weston. I called and talked to Debbie. She was home from the family reunion in Moab. We had prayer together before going to bed.
