 30 Mar 2025, Sunday Priorit ized Daily 10:30 am - Church at Lehi 7th Ward 4:00 pm - Ryan, Stephanie, Abbey, Carter, Mackay, and Drew visit 5:00 pm -  party at Pat and Anndalyn's to welcome Ellie back home Note: We read in the Book of Mormon about how Amalek poisoned Lahonti by degrees. (Alma 47:18) I think in the same way, sometimes by degrees,  we can be affected by what we're surrounded by. A lot of  worldly ideas. I love what Sheri Dew said: "Go to sources that  only speak truth, and that's why our scriptures are so important,  to keep us grounded in truth."   John Bytheway taught the parable of the marinade.   What you surround yourself with becomes part of you. Dallyn Bayles has been in a lot of church productions. He's played  Hiram Smith. I think he played Alma the Elder in some of the  church videos. And he was the Phantom in the traveling group of  The Phantom of the Opera. He is just a terrific singer....

 29 Mar 2025, Saturday Priorit ized Daily I got up at 7 am and had prayer.  Everyone else is still sleeping.  I showered and got ready for the day.  When Debbie got up, we had prayer.  Jody and the girls, Clara, Kenna, Shelby, and Libby, went for a run.  Debbie and I had scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast.  I started organizing things to pack in a suitcase and backpack for my trip to Nepal in about 12 days.  I did some exercising on the vibrating machine and studied scriptures.  After Jody and the girls left, Jared and Tate came over and picked up their mail.  Debbie went to get some groceries.  Later, I took the garbage container to the street.  There is no recycle pickup tomorrow.  I studied some American History and took a couple of quizzes.  Debbie and I had prayer before going to bed before 10:30 PM.

"C" Suite 102 to discuss treatment of  non-hodgkin lymphoma in lymph node in my groin AlphaGraphics has printed and bound in hard copy my 2025 Journal, and ready for pickup in the American Fork Store. 11:00 am - Cardio Follow-up,  Debbie with Dr. Lee McCann in Provo I got up at 5 AM, prayed, showered, shaved, dressed, and had breakfast before driving to see Dr. Pratt in Provo.  I talked to him and will get two treatments of radiation directly to the groin lymph node next week.  The treatment will not affect my hiking in the Himalayas in April.  When I get back, they will do more tests to see if there is any cancer is in my chest and bones.  Tes is Dr. Pratt's assistant, and Chad marked the area on my groin to get radiation treatments next week for the non-Hodgkin lymphoma.   When I got home, Karelen and her family had left to take...

 26 Mar 2025, Thursday Priorit ized Daily  Ellie Hobbs comes home from Austria, where she worked as a nanny 10:00 AM - Debbie's cardio therapy in American Fork Laura is taking Debbie to Clara's softball game in the afternoon Karlene is spending the night with us Note:  It was not as big a problem for the Lord to get the Children of Israel out of Egypt as it was for Him to get Egypt out of the Children of Israel. I was up at 6:30 am and had prayer.  Later, when Debbie woke, we had prayer together.  At 9:30 AM, we drove to the Cardo Therapy clinic in American Fork for an hour.  I listened to an audiobook while Debbie walked on a treadmill for 35 minutes.  We stopped on the way home to get some groceries and birthday and anniversary cards that Debbie wanted to pick up.  When we got home, we had lunch, and I exercised on the vibrating machine.  I studied scriptures and watched some TV.  At 3 pm, I went with Debbie for a 25-minute walk a...

 22 Mar 2025, Saturday Priorit ized Daily Abbey Hobbs's 18th Birthday zWhen I got my 8 hours of sleep,  I woke up.  I had Autumn on my mind and have had for several days.  I had prayer and sent her a text message.  Debbie is resting but I can hear her coughing so I know she is not sleeping well.  When she got up we had prayer together.  I received an email from Doug Yancey, an old friend in GA.  I called and talked to him.  I made cream of wheat and toast with guacamole for breakfast.  We watched a video by Tom Pettit where this month's Getting to Know Them he tell about  Benjamin Franklin Johnson who was born in New York. He was baptized in Kirtland at about the age of 16.  He was a close friend of the Prophet.  BF Johnson was an eyewitness to most of the Church's History.  I paid for the privilege to see a video about early members of the Church.  It had been some time since I had received one.  ...

 21 Mar 2025, Friday Priorit ized Daily 1:50 PM - Revere Imaging 1055 N. 500 W., Building C, Suite 112, for PET Scan, Provo, UT Phone  801-812-4624 I was up at 7 AM and had prayer, Debbie is still sleeping.  Michael left for work at about 8:40 am.  He said he would bring Gavin and Gracie by tonight.  At 9:30 AM I took Debbie to get her hair fixed.  The house cleaners came by at about 10:30 am.  I asked them what they clean when they come.  The girl went over a list of things.  I showed them dust that has not been dusted in some time, the master bathroom floor and corners needs to be cleaned, and the mirror in Debbie's makeup area has streaks.  She said they would be sure and clean them well.  I studied scriptures and a little after 12 noon I went back and picked Debbie up at the beauty shop.  At 12:30 pm Laura came over with Ocie and took Debbie to lunch with them.  Laura is watching Ocie today while Patrick and Annda...

 20 Mar 2025, Thursday Priorit ized Daily 12 Noon - appointment to see Marc Nuttall, MD, Oncologist, Revere Health 801-772-0698 in American Fork 2:00 pm - Debbie's appointment to see Brad Gale P.A. 4:00 pm - Nancy Willis brings dinner to us Debbie and I had prayer, showered, and got ready for the day.  I verified my Social Security identity online.  I had to change my user name and password.  We studied scriptures and at noon Debbie went with me to my appointment with Dr. Marc Nuttall, MD Oncologist in American Fork.  I did not eat anything this morning so when I arrived the nurse sent me to the lab to have blood drawn and tested. When I saw Dr. Nuttall he had the results of the blood test with the biopsy on Tuesday, 4 Mar 2025.   I have follicular lymphoma is a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, grade 1, and indolent.   It grows slowly and typically has a favorable prognosis than either of the other two non-Hodgkin lymphomas. 19 Mar 2025, Wednesday Priorit ized Daily Michael McAlpin 49th Birthday 10:00 am - Debbie's follow-up appointment to see Dr. McCann in Provo 5:00 pm - Heather Rasmussen brings dinner over for us 5:30 PM - Tucanos next to the mall on State St. and Univ. Ave in Orem Debbie and I had prayer together at about 7 am.  I checked my phone and I had a text from Michael about midnight last night and he was on his way up to UT.  I sent him a text wishing him a happy 49th birthday.  Matthew sent a text on a threat to all the family with a happy birthday text and some pictures.  I showered, shaved, and got ready and took Debbie to her Cardo Therapy appointment at 10 am.  Afterwards, we came home and had lunch.  Debbie had 30 minutes, two 15-minute, sessions on the treadmill.  I got on the vibrating machine when we got home.  Today is Michael's 49th birthday.  I called Alex to see what kind of cake he would want.  She was with her Dad when I call...

 18 Mar 2025, Tuesday Priorit ized Daily Call 801-374-2367 for oncology appointment I got up at 7:15 am and had prayer.  Debbie had taken another Tynol PM pill this morning and was sleeping.  I tried to call for an oncology appointment and got an answering machine and left a message for Heather, the patient coordinator.   I scanned and emailed 6 different K-1s to Matt McCleary this morning.  He is going to try and get our tax returns completed before I leave for Nepal in April.  I got on the vibrating machine to get some exercise in this morning.  I got a good night's sleep last night. The Tamsulosin Hydrochloride 0.4 Mgrelax that works to smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder did a good job.  I slept through the night, 8 hours, without getting up to go to the bathroom.  I don't want to be getting up in the middle of the night when I am in the Himalayas if I can go next month to Mt.  14 Mar 2025, Friday Priorit ized Daily Wells Fargo - cash check from Citi Visa cash-back, WF Debit card Walmart - pocket notebook for daily journal while on trek in Himalayas Debbie and I slept in, had prayer, and Ryan came this morning and spent the day.  When he arrived, I went to Wells Fargo and cashed the $1,609.17 Citi Bank/Costo cashback check for 2024.  I will. use this money for the Nepal trip next month.  Wells Fargo does not handle Nepalese Rupee.  The exchange rate is 0.0072 for US dollars today.  I will have to get rupees in Katmandu next month.  I went to Walmart and used the last my Humana money on the Walmart gift card funds.  I got a pocket journal notebook and a bag of crackers.  When I got home Ryan and I helped Debbie to get downstairs to walk on the treadmill.  It is raining and snowing outside today.  She walked on it for 10 minutes.  Ryan sat in the vibrating chair, and I got on the vibrating machine...

 12 Mar 2025, Wednesday Priorit ized Daily Bo Lively's 21st Birthday Jason Lively's 57th Birthday Marissa, Alex's "Elder Gourley's girlfriend," is coming by today or tomorrow 11:30 am - Scott Edwards, from Rovin Capital, visit us Note:   From my 2024 journal, Tuesday, September 24th, I made a note entry about a song, “It Took a Miracle,” I would like to have sung at my funeral.  This song made a strong impression on me as a child, and I have never forgotten the lyrics I first heard at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  I had an impression that came to me as a young boy not much older than 10, if I was 10 years old when the preachers that preached hellfire, brimstone, and eternal damination for your sins if you were not saved.  I remember being scared I was going to hell.  I wanted to be saved.  The Spirit told me in my mind and heart that the Lord loved me and I would not go to hell.  A peace came over me, and I never worried again about...

 11 Mar 2025, Tuesday Priorit ized Daily I woke and got up about 7:30 am.  I had prayer, Debbie is still sleeping and/or resting.  Later, Jody got up, and I made cream of wheat for breakfast.  I took Debbie for a walk while Jody went shopping.  Later I went to REI and Costco to do some shopping.  When I got home I made Ruben sandwiches.  Jody went home,e and Karlene and Joe L. came down and spent the night.  Karlene brought tax documents that Gerald Searle, CPA, had prepared for their (Debbie, Reed, and Karlene's) 2024 tax returns.   I went with Debbie on 4 walks of 6 minutes each today.  I helped her take her blood pressure, heart rate, and blood oxygen several times each day.  She was light-headed and dizzy last night.  She called Dr. McCann's office.  A nurse called her back and said it could be from the oxycodone.  If she has any more problems, she should call back immediately.  Debbie and I had pra...
